For beginners, Plantar Fascia is a thick connective tissue which supports the arch on the bottom of the foot and Plantar Fasciitis, is often a painful degenerative process of the Plantar Fascia. Simply put it is a disorder that results in pain in the heel and bottom of the foot. Although the causes of this disorder are not clear yet overuse of legs like a long period of standing and obesity is cited as the prime causes.

Remember that the feet should be cleaned with a nonmoisturising soap before applying the tape so that the tape sticks properly. Step by Step Method for Plantar Fasciitis Taping- To follow proper steps while Taping is essential for the healing to happen. By the technique mentioned here, Plantar Fascia of your foot is supported and its movement is limited with the purpose of giving it some rest still maintaining the overall mobility of the foot. Steps for an effective Taping are:
1. Step 1- Start by taping the Metatarsal area or the ball of the Foot.
2. Step 2- Place a strip of Tape around the metatarsal region.
3. Step 3- Cross the Mid foot diagonally before wrapping it around the heel and crossing the mid foot again.
4. Step 4- Above steps are going to make an x- shape across the mid foot and will be responsible for giving support to Plantar Fascia of your foot.
5. Step 5- You are required to make that wrap about three times to ensure that it holds up and create a strong support.
6. Step 6- in the last step, finish taping by applying tape horizontally across the foot to cover the previous strips.
When this is finished, the plantar surface of the foot should almost entirely be covered by the metatarsal area of the foot. This will add the support necessary to allow the fascia ligament to rest.
